Clinical Study of Zishen Bupi Yiqi and Qushi Huoxue Huazhuo Decoction in Trea-ting Diabetic Nephropathy of Spleen-Kidney Qi Deficiency Combined with Damp-ness-Turbidity Blood Stasis
Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of Zishen Bupi Yiqi and Qushi Huoxue Huazhuo De-coction in treating diabetic nephropathy(DN)patients with spleen-kidney qi deficiency and dampness-turbidity blood stasis.Methods Ninety DN patients at Beijing Huairou Hospital of of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected and assigned to a study group and a control group by random number table,with 45 in each group.The control group received standard Western treatment,while the study group received additional Zishen Bupi Yiqi and Qushi Huoxue Huazhuo Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups underwent one month of treatment.The following outcomes were assessed:clinical efficacy,adverse reactions,TCM syndrome scores,kidney function indexes[serum creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),24-h urinary protein quantification],serum homocysteine(Hcy),and interleukin-6(IL-6).Results The total effective rate was 93.33％(42/45)in the study group,which was higher than the 77.78％(35/45)in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,both groups demonstrated a decrease in the scores for primary and secondary symptoms(P＜0.05),with the study group displaying lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).Kidney function was improved in both groups following treatment(P＜0.05),and the improvements were more pronounced in the study group(P＜0.05).Serum Hcy and IL-6 also decreased after treatment in both groups(P＜0.05),with greater reductions in the study group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of ad-verse reactions between the study and control groups during treatment(8.89％,4/45 vs 4.44％,2/45,P＞0.05).Conclu-sion Conventional Western medicine combined with Zishen Bupi Yiqi and Qushi Huoxue Huazhuo Decoction is effective in alleviating clinical symptoms,improving kidney function,reducing Hcy and IL-6 of DN,and is thus beneficial for en-hancing overall treatment results while maintaining safety.
