Efficacy of Guishao Xiaoyin Decoction Combined with Ozone Hydrotherapy on Pso-riasis Vulgaris and Effect on Inflammatory Factors and Immune Function
Objective To investigate the efficacy of Guishao Xiaoyin Decoction combined with ozone hydrothera-py in treating patients with psoriasis vulgaris and its impact on inflammatory factors and immune function.Methods A to-tal of 100 patients with psoriasis vulgaris treated at the Dermatology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of the PLA Air Force Military Medical College from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to a random number table,with 50 patients in each group.The control group re-ceived conventional Western medical treatment,while the observation group received Guishao Xiaoyin Decoction combined with ozone hydrotherapy in addition to the conventional treatment.Both groups were treated continuously for 8 weeks.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,lesion improvement,levels of inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)],and immune function indica-tors(Tfh and activated Tfh)were observed and compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,TCM syndrome scores significantly decreased in both groups compared to those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the observation group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).PASI,BSA,and DLQI scores significantly decreased in both groups compared to those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the observation group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).Peripheral blood levels of Tfh and activated Tfh significantly decreased in both groups compared to those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the observation group showing significantly lower levels than the control group(P＜0.05).Serum levels of IL-6,IL-1β,and TNF-α significantly decreased in both groups compared to those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the observation group showing significantly lower levels than the control group(P＜0.05).The overall efficacy rate in the observation group(93.62％)was significantly higher than in the control group(77.08％)(P＜0.05).Conclusion Guishao Xiaoyin Decoction combined with ozone hydrotherapy can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms,improve lesion status,and enhance the quality of life in patients with psoriasis vul-garis.The mechanism may be related to the regulation of immune responses and inhibition of inflammatory factor expres-sion,thereby reducing inflammation.
