Coronary heart disease and stroke are atherosclerotic diseases,with common physiological and patholog-ical mechanisms:heart-brain axis and heart-brain diseases,respectively,which coincide with the theory of heart and brain in correlation in traditional Chinese medicine.Based on the relationship between heart and brain,this paper expounds the importance of heart-brain co-treatment for coronary heart disease combined with stroke and sorts out the physiologi-cal connection and pathogeneses of the two diseases,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for treating coronary heart disease combined with stroke from the theory of heart-brain co-treatment.
