Medication Patterns and Academic Exploration of Professor Yang Guowang in Trea-ting Pulmonary Nodules Based on Data Mining
Objective To study Professor Yang Guowang's diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and medication patterns for treating pulmonary nodules using data mining and retrospective research methods.Methods Clinical data of all patients with pulmonary nodules were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,and a database was estab-lished.Data mining was performed using WPS Spreadsheets,SPSS Modeler 18.0,Origin 2018,and Cytoscape 3.9.1 to ana-lyze medication frequency,association rules,system clustering,and network contribution.Results A total of 147 consulta-tions were collected,involving 148 types traditional Chinese medicines,with a cumulative medication frequency of 2372 in-stances.The top 10 most frequently used medicines were Atractylodis macrocephalae rhizoma,Astragali radix,Fritillariae thunbergii bulbus,Citri reticulatae pericarpium,Glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma praeparata cum melle,Sargassum,Bupleuri radix,Curcumae rhizoma,Arisaematis rhizoma preparatum,and Polygalae radix.The four natures of these high-frequency medicines were primarily warm and cold;the five flavors were mainly bitter,spicy,and sweet;the associated meridians were mainly the lung,spleen,liver,heart,and stomach.The association rules and high-frequency drug system clustering reflec-ted the combination of medications used by Professor Yang in treating pulmonary nodules.The top 10 medications contribu-ting to the network were Glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma praeparata cum melle,Atractylodis macrocephalae rhizoma,Astragali radix,Fritillariae thunbergii bulbus,Citri reticulatae pericarpium,Polygalae radix,Sargassum,Curcumae rhizoma,Arisaema-tis rhizoma preparatum,and Bupleuri radix,indicating the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for pulmonary nodules.Conclusion Professor Yang Guowang's diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in treating pulmonary nodules is based on a"five-in-one"framework that considers pathogenesis,constitution,pathology,disease nature,and disease course.His specific treatment methods include tonifying the spleen and strengthening qi,soothing the liver and regulating qi,resolving phlegm and dissipating nodules,softening hardness and dispersing stasis,and applying anticancer therapies.Additionally,he excels in linking the spleen with the lungs,effectively using opposite medicines,and combining cold and warm properties to achieve both symptomatic and root-level treatment.
