Cancer-related fatigue(CRF)is common across various stages of malignancy, especially in patients undergoing anti-cancer treatments or those with advanced cancer.CRF severely impacts the patient's quality of life and can even interrupt the treatment process, shortening survival time.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)primarily uses toni-fying therapies to treat CRF,with good clinical efficacy. The occurrence of CRF is closely related to factors such as cancer toxins, external pathogenic factors, and emotional imbalances.Clinically,CRF often presents as excess syndromes. This arti-cle discussed the common excess syndromes seen in CRF,including liver depression and qi stagnation, heat toxin and blood stasis, and phlegm-dampness accumulation, and reminded clinicians that,in addition to tonifying the deficiency, the treat-ment of CRF should not neglect methods such as soothing the liver and resolving stagnation, activating blood and resolving blood stasis, and promoting qi and transforming phlegm to address the excess syndromes.
