Professor Tang Ming's Clinical Experience in Treating Skin Diseases with Chuanlian Fuling Decoction Based on the Five Circuits and Six Qi Theory System
The five circuits and six Qi theory system is based on the basic idea of"unity of heaven and man-kind",summarizing the change pattern of the movement of heaven and earth as five circuits and six Qi and making them corresponding to the viscera.It is a discipline that explores the cyclical nature of changes in the natural world as well as their effects on human health and diseases.Chuanlian Fuling Decoction is from Sanyin Sitian Fang,which is one of the cir-cuit and qi prescriptions summarized by Chen Wuze based on the circuit and qi theory,and it is mainly used for treating the disease of prevailing cold pathogens and water repelling the earth in years whose last number is 6 with excessive water.Pro-fessor Tang Ming's clinical practice is not confined to the fixed scope of application of the ancient prescriptions but grasps unique pathogenesis based on the circuit and qi theory with considerations of the patient's birth,consultation,time of onset,clinical symptoms,etc.in the clinic.Focusing on the clinical manifestations of fire stagnation,intense cold,and earth-re-covery,Professor Tang Ming uses Chuanlian Fuling Decoction to treat a variety of skin diseases,and the therapeutic effect is quite good,which has further broadened the idea of the clinical application of Chuanlian Fuling Decoction.In this paper,three cases of Professor Tang Ming's treatment of eczema,urticaria,and psoriasis with this prescription are selected for dis-cussion.
