Clinic Research of Pingle Guo's Orthopedics Technique in Treating Cervical Spon-dylosis
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy between Pingle Guo's orthopedics technique and conven-tional traction method for cervical spondylosis. Methods A total of 120 patients with cervical spondylosis who were treated in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology,Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedics Hospital(Shenzhen Pingshan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine)from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into a treatment group and a control group with the random number table method.Sixty patients in the treatment group were treated with the Pingle Guo's orthopedics technique, while sixty patients in the control group were treated with the conventional traction method. After 14 days of treatment, clinical efficacy in the two groups was evaluated by observing and comparing the follow-ing indicators before and after treatment:clinical symptoms of the neck, physical sign score scale, visual analogue scale(VAS),neck disability index(NDI)score scale, and neck mobility. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of 76.79%(43/56)in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of 48.08%(25/52)in the control group(P<0.05).VAS and NDI scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and these scores were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the poste-rior extension and lateral flexion activities of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05).In addition, posterior extension in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the clinical symptoms of the neck and physical sign scores of the two groups were decreased,com-pared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and they were in lower levels in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of Pingle Guo's orthopedics technique on cervical spondylosis is better than that of the conventional traction method, which can effectively improve the pain and dysfunction of patients and is worth popularization and application.
