Objective To investigate the status of having breakfast and nutritional intake of students in University Husbandry College, and its associated factors. Methods Stratified random cluster sampling method was applied. A total of 422 questionnaires were distributed and response rate was 100%. SPSS17. 0 was used for data entry and analysis. X2 test, logistic multiple regression analysis, composition ratio and other statistical methods were used for analysis. Results 240 students had breakfast every day, accounting for 60.0% of the total number of respondents. Students who did not have breakfast accounted for 5.9%. Only 3.3% students had breakfast consisting of cereals, eggs/meat, milk, vegetables and fruits. Conclusion The status of having breakfast among students from Tibet University Husbandry College were not optimistic. The main reason may be that they were not used to and getting up to late in the morning. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out breakfast related health knowledge education, so that students correctly recognize the importance of eating breakfast, and will pay more attention to nutrition intake.
