Clinical Observation on Xiaoxianxiongtang Modified Decoction Combined with Lansoprazole in Treating Senile Reflux Esophagitis of Syndrome of Dampness-heat due to Spleen Deficiency
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xiaozhanxiong modified decoction combined with lansoprazole in the treatment of syndrome of dampness-heat due to Spleen deficiency in elderly patients with reflux esophagitis. Methods Thirty-four elderly patients hospitalized from January 2017 to December 2017 in the inpatient department of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled. According to the diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western medicine, they were divided into treatment group and control group with 17 cases in each group by the random number table method. During hospitalization, 30 mg/d lansoprazole was intravenously infused for 1 week. After discharge, 30 mg/d oral lansoprazole was continued for 3 weeks. The treatment group was combined with oral Chinese medicine Xiaoxianxiongtang modified decoction on the basis of the control group. Patients in the each group were treated continuously for 4 weeks. Observe the degree of clinical symptom relief such as reflux, the time of disappearance of main symptom reflux, and the score of reflux degree. Results After treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes in the combined group were significantly better than those in the control group, and the time of disappearance of reflux was better than that of the western medicine group. The score of endoscopic reflux was less than that of the control group after half a year. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion Xiaoxianxiong modified decoction combined with lansoprazole in the treatment of syndrome of dampness-heat due to Spleen deficiency in elderly patients with reflux esophagitis can quickly relieve symptoms and promote healing of esophageal mucosa. The clinical effect is significant.
