Being engaged in clinical practice for nearly 50 years, Professor Zhou Daihan is good at the treatment of advanced cancer. His academic characteristics of“banking up earth to generate metal” on the treatment of lung cancer is clear. He put for-ward the view that“spleen deficiency and phlegm dampness” is one of the key pathogenesis of lung cancer, therefore the treatment of “replenishing qi and dispelling phlegm” on lung cancer based on the theory of“banking up earth to generate metal” is signifi-cant, which is confirmed by the relevant clinical and basic research. Therefore, Professor Zhou Daihan developed the theory that strengthening the spleen is tonifying the lung in Chinese medicine tumor treatment field.
