The pathogenesis of heat stasis cementation of blood syndrome in Warm diseases and"cooling blood and dispersing blood stasis"proposed by YE Tianshi show the wisdom of the classical theory of Warm diseases and the treatment characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).The classic is deeply understanded by modern researches combined with,consequently the"cooling blood and dispersing blood stasis"method embodied in the treatment methods of cooling blood,detoxification,nourishing yin,dispersing blood stasis being applied appropriately in the treatment based on syndrome differentiation.The mehods can not only play a curative effect in the treatment of acute exogenous heat diseases,but also be extended to the treatment of internal injury dis-eases.Accurate understanding of the TCM classic is the basis of making it serve contemporary clinical practice,as well as the es-sence of inheriting the classic and keeping the innovation.
