Objective:To determine the effect of Neiyi Zhitong Decoction on the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis(EMvs)and objectively evaluate its mechanism.Methods:The EMS model was established by autotransplantation,and 40 EM rats were di-vided into four groups according to the random number table method.A sham operation group was set up with eight rats.Different concentrations of traditional Chinese medicine 985.3 mg/(kg·d)and 245.8 mg/(kg·d)were administered by gavage,and dan-azol 7.2 mg/(kg·d)was administered by gavage.The model group and sham operation group were given normal saline of 2 mL/d by gavage.After four weeks of treatment,the growth of ectopic lesions was observed,and the volume of ectopic lesions before and after treatment was measured.The indexes were detected by ELISA and Western Blotting.Results:The volume of ectopic lesions in each treatment group decreased significantly(P<0.01),but there was no significant change in the model group(P>0.05).Com-pared with the model group,the expression levels of MMP-9,TIMP-1,and E-cadherin in the serum of the Neiyi Zhitong Decoction group were significantly decreased,and the high-dose group was better than the low-dose group(P<0.05).In the tissue homoge-nate,the expression levels of MMP-9,VEGF,β-catenin,and E-cadherin in the Neiyi Zhitong Decoction group were decreased,and the high-dose group was better than the low-dose group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Neiyi Zhitong Decoction can effectively inhibit the growth of ectopic endometrium,reduce the volume of ectopic lesions,shut down the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by regulating the key regulatory proteins and downstream target genes,and block the occurrence and progression of EMs.
