Orifice is the channel of information communication inside and outside the human body,which is divided into nine ori-fices,brain orifices,heart orifices,and so on.It is closely related to the five viscera and six entrails.Academician SHI Xuemin has a unique view of orifice and has created a variety of acupuncture techniques for clinical use.This paper summarized the acupuncture techniques of SHI Xuemin from the orifice.It was found that he attaches great importance to brain orifices,treats the orifices by considering the mind,performs treatments according to different orifices,and is good at using Neiguan orifices.These academic thoughts are of great benefit to guiding clinical practice and thinking of acupuncture.
