Angelica Peony Powder is a prescription from ZHANG Zhongjing's Golden Chamber Synopsis.It has classical compati-bility and many effects and is clinically used to treat gynecological diseases and other diseases,with remarkable curative effects and fewer side effects.In order to better and deeply study Angelica Peony Powder clinically and experimentally,the author searched and sorted out the related literature on Angelica Peony Powder and summarized studies on its clinical application,pharmacological ac-tion mechanism,and chemical composition.It is found that this prescription can not only treat chronic pelvic inflammation,ovarian cyst,dysmenorrhea,irregular menstruation,breast disease,pregnancy hypertension,infertility,perimenopausal syndrome,and other gynecological diseases but also has good clinical effects on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,nephrotic syndrome,heart failure,cogni-tive impairment,chloasma,rheumatism,and other diseases,Whether combined with western medicine or used alone,the clinical effect is obviously better than that of western medicine treatment alone.In addition,it can largely correct the side effects of Western medicine.In terms of pharmacological action mechanism,after the literature review,it is found that Angelica Peony Powder has pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammation,regulating immunity,protecting vascular endothelium,protecting nerve cells,reg-ulating endocrine,and regulating lipid metabolism.According to the summary,the current research on Angelica Peony Powder is more,but clinical reports of some related diseases are fewer.There are more studies on in vivo animal experiments and fewer studies on the cellular level.There is a lack of in-depth research on effective components and pharmacological action mechanisms and less combination with relevant research hotspots in recent years.All these need to be further studied and improved to provide a scientific basis for clinical and experimental research.
