Pestilential disease of the lung system is one of the most infectious diseases of traditional Chinese medicine,with the high-est incidence and the greatest harm.The modern and contemporary methods of syndrome differentiation and treatment for this disease often involve the continued application of the traditional approaches,such as syndrome differentiation based on the six channels of ty-phoid,defense-qi-nutrient-blood syndrome differentiation,and syndrome differentiation of triple energizer.Alternatively,innovative ap-plications may combine two or more traditional methods in a creative manner.The treatment based on stage(type)is a very common method adopted by modern scholars,because of its simplicity and modern clinical applicability.In addition,special treatment methods are often adopted according to the evolving characteristics of the specific diseases,such as differentiating between conforming and con-trary patterns for treatment,as well as distinguishing normal and variable syndrome-related treatment.It is believed that the differenti-ation and treatment of pestilential disease of the lung system should be combined with syndrome differentiation,disease differentiation and symptom differentiation,integrating innovation to meet the characteristics and needs of modern clinical practice.
