Analysis of the Medication Rules of Traditional Chinese Medicine Formulae for Reducing Uric Acid Based on Data Mining
Objective:Based on data mining, clinical observation and animal experimental literature research were employed as the entry point to analyze the characteristics and prescription rules of traditional Chinese medicine formulae in the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia. The aim of this study was to provide reference for the clinical treatment of gout and hyperuricemia with traditional Chinese medicine and serve as a basis for the development of new drugs for reducing uric acid. Methods:The literature studies on traditional Chinese medicine formulas for lowering uric acid were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Science Periodical Database(CSPD),Chinese Citation Database(CCD),and the prescription database was con-structed.The frequency, flavor and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine were calculated using software, and association rule a-nalysis and cluster analysis were performed. Results:A total of 57 traditional Chinese medicine formulas were included, involving 174 traditional Chinese medicines,of which 27 were used with a frequency of more than 3.The commonly used types are mainly heat-clearing medicines, deficiency tonifying medicine, diuresis and dampness medicines.Cluster analysis unveils 3 core formula groups, mainly focused on tonifying the spleen and eliminating dampness,as well as clearing heat and promoting blood circulation.According to the analysis of association rules, there are 4 drug pairs,16 three-herb groups and 4 four-herb groups, among which rhi-zoma atractylodis and phellodendron phello-dendri have the highest degree of support and serve as the core herb pair for reducing u-ric acid. Conclusion:The use of traditional Chinese medicine for lowering uric acid primarily focuses on clearing heat, promoting diuresis, activating blood circulation and resolving stasis. It is supplemented by drugs for invigorating the spleen, dispelling damp-ness,tonifying middle-Jiao and enhancing qi.This reflects the traditional Chinese medicine treatment principle of"treating both symptoms and root causes",providing a reference for clinical application and development of new drugs.
