Analysis of the Rule of Clinical External Use of White Mustard Seeds Based on Data Mining
Objective:To excavate and analyze the rule of clinical external use of white mustard seeds.Methods:The clinical re-search literature on the topical use of white mustard seeds in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database in the past ten years was retrieved,and Excel 2021 software was used toanalyze the efficacy,properties,taste,meridian tropism,dosage form and main indications of each topical formula,.Clementine12 and IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software were used for association rule analysis,factor analysis and cluster analysis,in order to find out the compatibility rule of white mustard seeds for external use.Results:1)A total of 111 prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)were obtained from 107 articles,containing 187 kinds of TCM.2)Most of the TCM compatible with white mustard seeds are warming interior formula,blood-activating and stasis-resolving medicinal and exterior-releasing formula,such as asarum,aconite,corydalis,ephedra and so on.3)The drugs are mainly pungent in flavor and warm in nature,and most of them are concentrated in the lung meridian,heart meridian and spleen meridian.4)White mustard seeds are commonly used for external treatment of diseases such as asthma,arthritis,pneumonia,rhinitis,cancer pain,etc.(mainly respiratory diseases in children).5)White mustard seeds are often externally used in a variety of dosage forms and administration methods,with the main method being acupoint sticking therapy with medicinal cake or paste.6)In the analysis of association rules,12 highly-relevant drug combinations and 8 common factors were obtained.Systematic cluster analysis showed that there were 5 types of compatibility of white mustard seeds for clinical external use.Conclusion:White mustard seeds are com-monly externally used for the treatment of respiratory diseases and inflammatory diseases,and are often used in combination with TCM such as asarum,aconite and corydalis.It is hoped to use data mining methods to explore the characteristics for the external use of white mustard seeds,which will provide certain references for future clinical applications and related experimental studies.
