Chronic kidney disease(CKD)progresses rapidly during the peritoneal dialysis phase,with prominent symptoms across various systems,high incidence of complications,and a significant decline in patients'survival rate and quality of life.The internal TCM therapies such as classical prescriptions,modern Chinese medicine experience,Chinese patent medicine and Chinese herbal medicine preparations,combined with common external TCM treatments Chinese medicine enema,ear point pressing with beans,Chinese medicine fumigation,acupoint application therapy,can alleviate clinical symptoms,protect residual renal function,prevent and manage complications,reduce mortality rates,which plays a noteworthy role in the comprehensive management of patients un-dergoing peritoneal dialysis for CKD.
