Gout disease is a progressive metabolism disease, which is closely associated with hyperuricemia, urate crystal deposi-tion in the joint or kidney, and other uric acid metabolism disorders.According to the pathological progression and clinical manifes-tations,gout disease can be divided into different stages, including hyperuricemia, urate crystal deposition, and gouty inflammation.ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2(ABCG2)is a high-throughput uric acid transporter that is involved in mediating uric acid excretion in the intestine and kidney and is closely associated with gouty inflammation. This paper summarized the pathogene-sis of ABCG2-associated gout disease,so as to provide a new point of view into the further research and treatment of gout disease in clinics.
