Epilepsy(EP)is one of the most common brain diseases,and its clinical manifestations include convulsion,abnormal sensation and behavior,and loss of consciousness.The disease can occur at any age,mainly in adolescents and children.Because of its complicated etiology and various clinical symptoms,EP has the characteristics of repeated attack and refractory treatment in the clinic,seriously affecting the quality of life and physical and mental health of patients.External treatment with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is performed by acupuncture,moxibustion,and catgut embedding at acupoints,which has the advantages of envi-ronment protection,fewer side effects,and remarkable effects,and it has been widely used in the treatment of EP.
