Uterine fibroids with high incidence in modern times is a disease of abdominal mass in TCM,and doctors of past dynas-ties mostly believe that blood stasis is the main pathogenesis of abdominal mass.Therefore,activating blood and resolving stasis has become the main method in the clinical treatment of uterine fibroids.According to the TCM understanding about the etiology and pathogenesis of uterine fibroids and the modern studies of prescriptions for activating blood and resolving stasis,this article elabo-rates on the theoretical basis and main mechanism of treating uterine fibroids by activating blood and resolving stasis.
