Objective:To explore the rule of acupoint selection in the treatment of lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis by acupuncture and moxibustion with data mining technology.Methods:The literatures on the treatment of lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis by ac-upuncture were retrieved from eight self-established databases,namely the National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI),the Chinese Academic Periodicals Database(CSPD),the Chinese Science and Technology Periodicals Database(CCD),the Chinese Bi-omedical Literature Database(CBM),PubMed,Web of Science,EMbase and Cochrane Library from the date of library establish-ment until December 31,2022.The database was established with Excel 2019 and the frequency and attribute statistics were carried out on the acupoints.SPSS Modeler 18.0 Apriori algorithm was used to analyze association rules,and frequent item sets of acupoints were mined.The complex acupoint co-occurrence network was constructed using Cytoscape 3.9.0,and topological attribute values of core acupoints were analyzed to screen core prescriptions.SPSS Statistics 26.0 was used to systematically cluster the connections between core acupoint groups,draw pedigree diagrams,and excavate the clustering relationships between acupoints.Results:1)A total of 111 literatures were included,113 effective acupuncture prescriptions were extracted,involving 54 kinds of acupoints,with a total frequency of 479;2)The distribution of acupoints was mainly the stomach meridian of Foot Yangming and foot Shaoyang gall-bladder meridian;3)The first 3 meridian points frequency are Fengshi,Futu,Biguan;the selected points were dominated by Wushu points,and the frequency of He-sea points was the highest;4)Acupoint selection sites were mostly located in lower limbs;5)On the aspect of compatibility of acupoints,Fengshi-Futu had the highest degree of support.Cluster analysis showed that the core acupuncture prescriptions included 7 groups such as"Guanyuan,Shangqiu,Shenshu,Qihaishu",and the new core acupuncture pre-scription for the treatment of femoral lateral cutaneous neuritis"Fengshi,Yanglingquan,Futu,Ashi acupoint,Zusanli,Biguan,Lian-gqiu,Xuehai,Zhongdu,Yinshi"was excavated.Conclusion:Modern acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of lateral femoral cuta-neous neuritis is mainly based on local point selection and meridian selection,and more specific points are used,attention is paid to multiple meridians,and distance match is perfomed to improve the curative effect.
