Clinical Application and Characteristics of Canggui Tanxue Needling Method
Canggui Tanxue(Turtle probing the cave)needling method was first seen in the Ming Dynasty,described by Xu Feng in the Ode to the Golden Needle(Jin Zhen Fu).It is one of the four therapy methods of"flying meridians and moving qi",with the technical key being"one retreat,three advances,and chiseling in four directions".Clinical practice has confirmed the effectiveness and safety of this acupuncture technique,demonstrating advantages unmatched by conventional acupuncture methods.It is widely applied in treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system,digestive system,nervous system,reproductive system,and sensory or-gans,with remarkable therapeutic effects.This article summarized the origins,evolution,clinical application patterns,and technical characteristics of the Canggui Tanxue needling method,aiming to deeply explore the essence of classical acupuncture methods and provide theoretical support for their further promotion and application.
