Objective:To construct a system of evaluation and selection indexes for suitable technologies of traditional Chinese medicine at the grassroots level.Methods:Investigation and literature research were conducted on 12 representative provinces such as Shandong and Sichuan,and existing selection index systems related to suitable technologies for traditional Chinese medicine at the grassroots level were collected and summarized.Authoritative experts were organized to merge,add,or delete the selection di-mensions and indexes of those previous selection index systems.A relevant selection index system was preliminarily identified.Ex-perts were organized for preliminary selection,and their opinions and suggestions on the selection index system were collected.Fif-teen representative provinces(autonomous regions,or municipalities)were organized to conduct formal selection,and opinions and suggestions were collected from each of them on the selection index system.Results:A selection index system was constructed for suitable technologies of traditional Chinese medicine at the grassroots level from five dimensions:safety,effectiveness,standardiza-tion,economy,and promotion.The selection index system includes 5 primary indexes,12 secondary indexes,and 54 tertiary indexes and achieves quantitative scoring.Conclusion:The established selection index system for suitable technologies of traditional Chi-nese medicine at the grassroots level in this study has the characteristics of being scientific,systematic,and highly operable.It can provide a basis and reference for the selection of suitable technologies of traditional Chinese medicine at the grassroots level.
