Objective:To explore the acupoint selection rules of acupuncture and moxibustion in treating post-stroke thalamic pain using data mining techniques.Methods:Relevant literature on acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for post-stroke thalamic pain was searched in multiple Chinese and English databases from their inception to July 1,2023.After screening,a database was estab-lished using Microsoft Excel 2021.Statistical analysis was performed,including association rule analysis with SPSS Modeler 18.0,and visualizations created with Cytoscape 3.8.2,and clustering analysis with SPSS Statistics 26.0.Results:A total of 59 articles were included,encompassing 141 acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions and involving 131 acupoints with a total frequency of 1246.Commonly used core acupoints included Neiguan(PC 6),Shuigou(GV 26),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Weizhong(BL 40),and Jiquan(HT 1).Specific points mainly included the five Shu points,crossing points,and cleft points along Yang meridians,with a focus on the head,neck,and limbs.The most frequently used meridians were the gallbladder,bladder,and governing meridians.A total of 67 association analyses yielded multiple core acupoint combinations such as"Shuigou-Neiguan"and"Neiguan-Sanyinjiao".Five po-tential acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions were identified,with treatment courses typically lasting 10 to 30 days,mostly once per day,with needle retention around 30 min.Electroacupuncture was frequently applied using dense waves and sparse-dense waves.Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion for post-stroke thalamic pain commonly utilizes acupoints located near the head in combination with specific limb points and extraordinary points.Shu point selection based on the patient's condition,combined with electroacupuncture to enhance recovery,can provide valuable guidance for clinical practice.
