The concept of"body and spirit'in the Huangdi's Internal Classic(Huang Di Nei Jing)plays a significant guiding role in psychosomatic medicine,with"spirit'being central to the occurrence and development of psychosomatic disorders.This article explored the importance of"spirit'in psychosomatic medicine,elucidating its relationship with meridians,collaterals,and organs,as well as the critical role of acupuncture and moxibustion in regulating spirit in these conditions.This study also detailed the entire process of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for psychosomatic disorders,and emphasized the importance of the spirit-qi inter-action between physician and patient,as well as the selection of acupoints,to achieve therapeutic effects in regulating spirit and nourishing the body,thereby providing new perspectives and methods for the treatment of modern psychosomatic disorders.
