Cardiotoxicity is one of the most significant adverse effects of anti-cancer drugs.Among the drugs used for breast cancer treatment,anthracyclines,alkylating agents,antimetabolites,taxanes,molecular targeted drugs,and aromatase inhibitors all have car-diotoxic effects.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)plays a role in enhancing the efficacy and reducing the toxicity of breast canc-er chemotherapy.This article reviews the mechanisms of cardiotoxicity caused by breast cancer anti-cancer drugs,summarizes and analyzes the latest clinical and experimental research over the past five years on TCM's role in reducing cardiotoxicity of these drugs,thereby aiming to provide insights for elucidating the mechanisms by which TCM mitigates the cardiotoxicity of breast cancer anti-cancer drugs,as well as for the development of new drugs and clinical treatment strategies.
