The mechanism for realizing the values of river ecological products is an important means for developing coordinated and high-quality regional ecological protection and social economic systems.All kinds of river ecological products have the characteristics,i.e.local transfer and downstream spillover.However,the present research on the realization mechanism of two-way and classification of the market values by directly considering the above characteristics is still in its infancy.Accordingly,this paper surveys and summarizes the research on the river ecological products from three aspects:scopes for extension of river ecological products,methods for estimating dynamic market values and realization mechanism for their two-way classification,and shortcomings of the present research and important future research directions.Useful references are also provided for developing subsequent mechanisms for estimating long-term market values of river ecological products.
