Polypropylene(PP)has become one of the most widely used general-purpose plastics due to its low price and excellent performance.However,due to the fact that the tertiary carbon atom contained in the molecular chain structure is very easy to produce thermal oxygen aging degradation and light aging degradation under the conditions of oxygen,heat and ultraviolet light,so polypropylene shows poor anti-aging performance,especially outdoors,which seriously shortens the service life and limits its application range.Therefore,this paper mainly introduces the modification methods of polypropylene,such as grafting modification,melt blending modification and changing the crystal structure,analyzes the aging mechanism and aging process of polypropylene,summarizes the modification and anti-aging methods of polypropylene at home and abroad in recent ten years,and finally prospects the development of polypropylene.
