Effect of Chain Extender Type on PET Chain Expansion Performance

摘要
采用双螺杆反应性熔融挤出工艺,研究了 3种异氰酸酯类扩链剂(HDI-90SB、TPT及N3300)及2种环氧类扩链剂(2021P、E44)对聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)的扩链行为,并对扩链产物进行了表征.采用旋转流变仪及乌氏黏度计对其扩链产物的黏度进行了表征,采用差示扫描热量仪分析扩链产物的结晶行为.结果表明,当环氧类扩链剂的添加量均为1.0%时,环氧-2021P的扩链产物的性能最佳,特性黏度为0.75 dL/g,熔体流动速率为42.68 g/10 min,结晶度为27.72%,半结晶时间缩短至3.31 min.当异氰酸酯类扩链剂的添加量均为1.0%时,N3300扩链产物的性能最佳,特性黏度为0.82 dL/g,熔体流动速率为39.30 g/10 min,结晶度为26.38%,半结晶时间缩短至2.91 min.
Abstract
Three isocyanate chain extenders(HDI-90SB,TPTI,N3300)and two epoxy chain extenders(2021P,E44)were used to study the chain extender behavior of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)and the chain extender products were characterized.The viscosity of the chain extension products was characterized by rotating rheometer and Ulster viscometer,and the crystallization behavior of the chain extension products was characterized by differential scanning calorimeter.The results showed that when the addition of epoxy-type chain extender was 1.0%,the chain extender of epoxy-2021P had the best properties,the intrinsic viscosity was 0.75 dL/g,the melt flow rate index was 42.68 g/10 min,the crystallinity was 27.72%,and the half-crystallization time was reduced to 3.31 min.When the amount of isocyanate chain extender was 1.0%,the properties of N3300 chain extender were the best,the intrinsic viscosity was 0.82 dL/g,the melt flow rate index was 39.30 g/10 min,the crystallinity was 26.38%,and the half-crystallization time was reduced to 2.91 min.
