Cassava starch/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)composite film was prepared by tape casting method with edible cassava starch and polyvinyl alcohol(PV A)as raw materials,plasticizer glycerrinand glacial acetic acid as additives,and its mechanical properties were measured.The single factor method was used to explore the effects of polyvinyl alcohol,starch,glycerol,glacial acetic acid,reaction temperature and reaction time on the performance of composite membrane.Through three factors and three levels orthogonal test,the experimental results were analyzed by range analysis and variance analysis.The results showed that the optimal process parameters for preparing starch polyvinyl alcohol composite films were:the polyvinyl alcohol was 6.0 g,edible tapioca starch was 5.0 g,glycerol was 0.5 g,acetic acid was 0.15 g,reaction temperature was 85 ℃,reaction time was 70 min;the tensile strength was 25.66 MPa and the elongation at break was 157.60%under the optimum conditions,and the starch polyvinyl alcohol composite film with good mechanical properties was obtained.
