Polypropylene carbonate/Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate)blends(PPC/P34HB)with different mass ratios were prepared by melt blending, and the effect of P34HB addition on the properties of the blends was investigated. The results showed that the toughness of the PPC blends increased continuously with the addition of P34HB,and the impact strength was enhanced by 271.4%when the addition amount was 30%.Rheological property tests revealed that the introduction of P34HB into the system increased the energy storage modulus, loss modulus of the blends and decreased their complex viscosity and improved the processing properties of the materials due to the removal of the side methyl groups.Thermal weight loss showed that the introduction of P34HB increased the initial decomposition temperature of the blends.Micro-morphological observations revealed that the section surface changed from a smooth surface to an"island"structure, which proved that the toughness of the material was improved.
