The oil seal of steering gear, gear, bearing and other key components was an important factor affecting the safe driving of automobiles. The oil seal material based on polytetrafluoroethylene had good performance and long service life.In order to research the influence of friction, thermal conductivity and mechanical properties of oil seal materials, the samples with different particle size and content were prepared by blending, cold pressing and sintering. The results showed that the average density of the fired composite could reach 2.11 g/cm3 and the average friction coefficient could be lower than 0.175 when the particle size of the filler was in the order of nanometer. The higher the filler content, the greater the thermal conductivity, when the content reached 10%,the average thermal conductivity exceeds 0.50.With the increase of the content, the tensile strength of the composite decreases gradually, but the tensile modulus increases. When the content was 10%,although the tensile strength was reduced due to internal agglomeration resulting in small defects and other factors,it was still higher than 18.5 MPa,but the tensile modulus of the composite was as high as 1.3 GPa.The creep of the material decreases, and the comprehensive properties met the needs of oil seal applications.
