Compared with petroleum-based adhesives,bio-based adhesives have the advantages of wide source of raw materials,non-toxic and harmless,environmental protection and sustainable,biodegradable,etc.It is of great significance to vigorously develop bio-based adhesives.In this paper,the latest research progress of bio-based adhesives in recent five years is reviewed,and several kinds of bio-based adhesives are mainly introduced,including protein-based adhesives,tannin-based adhesives,lignin-based adhesives,polysaccharide-based adhesives,plant oil-based adhesives,lipoic acid-based adhesives,etc.The main application scenarios of bio-based adhesives are also described.Finally,the existing problems and the future development direction of bio-based adhesives are summarized and prospected.
