Analysis of the Benefit of Tailwater Channel Dredging of Jin'anqiao Hydropower Station
In downstream channel of Jin'anqiao Hydropower Station, there are remnants and raised accumulations from the demolition of downstream cofferdam during construction period, which raise the tailwater level of power station and have a certain impact on power generation efficiency.Using the refined water level-flow relationship under different downstream backwater level conditions, and only considering the power generation benefits brought by the water head increase during non-discharge periods, the relationship of water level and discharge in the downstream of Jinanqiao Reservoir and the power generation benefit after dredging the two raised accumulations under the dam are analyzed through analyzing the measured water level and flow data and two-dimensional hydrodynamic simulation. The results show that the two raised accumulations significantly hinder the movement of water flow, and the power generation benefits are significant after dredging. The research method avoids the overestimation of dredging benefits caused by simply using the increase in water head to calculate the increase in power generation benefits, and can provide a reference for the tailwater dredging benefit analyses of other hydropower stations.
