The Application of UAVs Monitoring in Forest Fires
Forest fires pose a serious threat to forest ecosystems worldwide, causing significant damage to the environment, economy, and human residents.Traditional methods of forest fire monitoring, relying on manual patrols and satellite remote sensing, have limitations and challenges in meeting the real-time and high-precision monitoring requirements.Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),however, offer effective support for fire warning,positioning,suppression,real-time monitoring, data transmission, resource allocation, personnel risk reduction,post-disaster treatment, and management.UAVs minimize losses caused by fires and provide new approaches and techniques for forest fire monitoring and suppression, with immense potential and development space. Therefore, exploring the role and application of UAVs monitoring in forest fires, studying its effectiveness and feasibility, can provide the forestry sector with improved fire monitoring and suppression solutions, thereby enhancing fire prevention and control capabilities and effectiveness, and safeguarding the health and sustainable development of forest ecosystems.
