The impact of floods,freezing,earthquakes,droughts,water pollution and other engineering or man-made acci-dents on rural water supply cannot be ignored.It is of great significance to improve the emergency water supply guarantee level in rural areas.This article selects seven counties(cities,districts)in Liaoning Province that had experienced water supply emergencies for research,and deeply analyzes the current situation of emergency water supply in rural areas in Lia-oning Province,the basic situation of rural water supply projects involved in emergencies,and the conditions for emergency support.It also explores the establishment of mechanism and responsibility subjects,as well as the implementation of lead-ing departments.In view of the problems such as lack of specialized institutions for rural water supply emergency manage-ment,inadequate evaluation and summary,and unprofessional engineering management,the article proposes measures and suggestions such as establishing specialized institutions,timely summarizing experiences,promoting professional manage-ment,and multi-channel publicity to improve the emergency water supply level in rural areas in Liaoning Province and ensure the safety of rural residents'drinking water supply.
