Water conservancy embankment engineering is a building facility used by rivers and lakes to manage water bodies and prevent floods.It is directly related to the safety of people's lives and property,and its importance is self-evi-dent.Therefore,timely detection of embankment hidden dangers and ensuring embankment safety are of great significance.Airborne LiDAR is non-contact when used to inspect hidden dangers in embankments.Compared with traditional methods,it has significant advantages in flexibility,timeliness,and environmental adaptability.This article mainly introduces the experimental process of using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)airborne LiDAR to inspect artificially simulated embankment hazards,and the good application results achieved.The experiments have accumulated certain experience and can provide references for the safety management departments of water conservancy embankments or relevant scientific research units in carrying out inspections of hidden dangers in embankments.
