The official implementation of the Yellow River Protection Law of the People's Republic of China marks the com-prehensive legalization of the national river strategy,providing institutionalized guidance for strengthening the river manage-ment.This article summarizes a series of new progress and achievements made by the Yellow River Conservancy Commis-sion of the Ministry of Water Resources in promoting the protection and management of the Yellow River since the imple-mentation of the Yellow River Protection Law,analyzes the new situation and tasks faced by strengthening river management according to law,and puts forward the measures to promote river management by adhering to the rule of law,aiming to strengthen the protection and management of the Yellow River in accordance with the law,and provide a strong water secur-ity guarantee for Chinese path to modernization with the high-quality development of water resources in the Yellow River basin in the new stage.
