Discussion on the influence of roughness and land subsidence on flood discharge capacity of watercourse
The flood discharge capacity of watercourse is influenced by many factors. This article discusses and analyzes the situation where the flood discharge capacity of a river does not match the planned design due to factors such as river rough-ness and land subsidence encountered in river planning and design,as well as in actual operation. The results show that river roughness has a significant impact on the flood discharge capacity of a river. The higher the proportion of cross-sec-tional flood discharge capacity to the total cross-sectional flood discharge capacity of a river, the greater the impact of chan-ges in roughness in this area on the flood discharge capacity of the river. The larger the flood discharge capacity of the riv-er,the more obvious the impact of changes in roughness on the water depth of the river.Regional land subsidence may have a significant impact on the flood discharge capacity, operational safety, and regional drainage capacity of river channels.Based on the above conclusions, corresponding rmeasures and suggestions are proposed to provide reference for future plan-ning,design,and management work.
