Analysis and suggestions on the flood-control management in Chaobai River,Beijing Municipality
The Chaobai River is the second largest river in Beijing.The implementation of strategies such as coordinated development of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region,construction of urban sub centers,and high-quality water management has put forward higher requirements for flood control and management of the Chaobai River.Meanwhile,due to years of lack of systematic governance,the condition of Chaobai River itself has also undergone significant changes.The article analyzes the current situation and flood discharge capacity of the Chaobai River flood control project,and identifies the risks and hidden dangers in the flood control of the Chaobai River.On this basis,focusing on the goal of building a modern flood control and disaster reduction system and the demand for sustainable economic and social development and taking the watershed as the unit,this article proposes suggestions for flood control governance including optimizing the longitudinal layout of river chan-nels,improving beach areas,raising and reinforcing embankments,and renovating buildings,in order to provide important flood control safety guarantees for high-quality development along both sides of the river.
