Effects of Light Intensity on the Growth of Bare Root Seedlings and Container Seedlings of Fraxinus mandshurica at Different Seedling Ages
Analyzing the adaptability of bare root and container seedlings of different ages of Fraxinus mandshurica under different light intensities can provide scientific basis for precise afforestation of F.mandshurica seedlings.Using 1-year-old bare root seed-lings,1-year-old container seedlings,2-year-old bare root seedlings, and 2-year-old container seedlings of F.mandshurica as ex-perimental materials, observe the growth of various types of F.mandshurica seedlings under 100%,75%,50%,and 25%light inten-sity in field shading settings. The results showed that the height and diameter growth of container seedlings were significantly higher than bare root seedlings by 58.74%and 60.27%,respectively.The diameter growth and root biomass accumulation of the four seed-lings were the lowest under 25%light intensity.Under 50%light intensity, the height growth, diameter growth, leaf area, and fine root quantity of 1-year-old container seedlings were 39.51%,28.80%,35.27%,and 28.73%higher than those of 1-year-old bare root seedlings, respectively. The height growth, diameter growth, leaf area, and fine root quantity of 2-year-old container seedlings were 96.03%,94.06%,28.45%,and 40.69%higher than those of 2-year-old bare root seedlings, respectively,The height and diameter growth of 1-year-old bare root seedlings were 59.56%and 85.57%higher than those of 2-year-old bare root seedlings,re-spectively.Research had shown that four types of F.mandshurica seedlings had poor growth under 25%light conditions,1-year-old bare root seedlings grew better under weak light conditions(50%)than 2-year-old bare root seedlings, and container seedlings had stronger adaptability to weak light conditions(50%)than bare root seedlings.
