Recent Advances in Catalytic Co-pyrolysis of Biomass and Plastics for the Production of Aromatic Hydrocarbons
Aromatic hydrocarbons were multi-purpose chemicals, mainly derived from petroleum, coal tar and so on.The production of aromatics from biomass and plastics could alleviate energy shortage and environmental pollution, and realize the resource utilization of biomass and plastics.Catalysts could enhance the synergistic effect of co-pyrolysis,and catalytic co-pyrolysis of biomass and plastics could improve the product quality, the distribution of pyrolysis products and the yield and selectivity of light aromatics, and inhibit the generation of coke.In this paper, the synergistic pyrolysis mechanism and influencing factors of catalytic pyrolysis of biomass and plastics for the preparation of aromatics were reviewed, and the research progress of co-pyrolysis with different kinds of catalysts was summarized, with a view to providing a reference for the improvement and optimization of the process of preparing aromatics by directional modulation of biomass-plastics catalytic co-pyrolysis.
