Preparation of Light-colored and Transparent Polyimide Films with Alicyclide Diamine
The six polyimide(PI)films with different diamine ratios were prepared by a two-step method using the alicyclic-structure-containing diamine monomers 5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylmethylamine(IPDA)and 4,4′-diaminodicyclohexylmethane(PACM)and 4,4′-(4,4′-isopropyldiphenoxy)bis(phthalic anhydride)(BPADA)dianhydride monomers, which reacted under the conditions of ice bath. The films were characterized by infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction method(XRD)ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy,thermo-mechanical analysis, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)test, heat loss test and mechanical property test. The results show that the PI films have been completely imidized, and the overall amorphous structure has a high UV transmittance in the visible range, with the maximum transmittance above 87%,and the highest transmittance at 450 nm is 83.26%,which has the ability of extension and shows flexibility, glass transition, and the ability of extension.Exhibiting flexibility, the glass transition temperatures(Tg)of the PI films are all around 200℃,and the initial decomposition temperatures are all above 388℃.Before reaching the initial decomposition temperature, almost no weight loss occurs, and the thermal stability is well.
