The optimization of the molecular structure design and the domestic development of thermoplastic polyamide elastomer(TPAE)had become the current hot spot of exploration.Thermoplastic polyamide 6(PA6)elastomer were prepared by one-step melt poly-condensation reaction of double carboxyl terminated PA6 and polyether amine(PEA),based on the amidation poly-condensation reaction mechanism which is different from the esterification poly-condensation reaction mechanism in the preparation method of binary acids.The molecular structure of thermoplastic PA6 elastomer was characterized by Fourier transform infrared and proton nuclear magnetic resonance.The thermal behaviors,thermal stability,mechanical properties,density,and shore A hardness were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry analysis,thermogravimetric analysis,mechanical properties test,density test,and shore A hardness test.It is found that the molecular structure of PA6 elastomer is accordance with the anticipated structure,the melting temperature is higher than 210 ℃,the thermal stability and mechanical properties are excellent,the breaking elongation is more than 500%,the density is less than 1.1 g/cm3,and the shore A hardness range is wide(85~95).It has been a thermoplastic elastomer material with excellent performance.
