Effect of Plastics on Indoor and In-car Air Quality
This paper analyzes the hazards of various pollutants(microplastics, volatile organic compounds and odors, etc.)produced by plastics to the indoor and in-car environments, and also analyzes the existing indoor and in-car air quality standards and detection standards. The current standard systems have some limitations. For example, the harmful substances(microplastics, odors, etc.)brought by plastics have not been included in the corresponding standard limit values. This article proposes some suggestions for the plastic limit values of indoor and in-car air quality, including the microplastics≤0.05 mg/m3(weight method),the ozone concentration<10(dimensionless)and the plastic products<the third level(odor rating). This paper provides references for the subsequent formulation and updates of indoor and in-car air quality standards and plastic product standards.
