Removing the Metal Coating on the Surface of Waste ABS Electroplated Materials by Electrolytical Process
Platy stripping experiments were carried out on the waste acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer(ABS)electroplated parts by the electrochemical reactions. The effects of voltage, platy stripping time, electrolyte mass fractions and electrolyte types on platy stripping efficiency were studied. When a 20%CaCl2 solution is used as the electrolyte and the voltage is 5 V,the platy stripping efficiency is good, and the platy stripping rate can reach 98.74%when the electrolysis time is 60 min.The physical properties and aging properties of waste ABS plastics treated by the chemical treatment and the electrolytic platy stripping are also compared. The waste ABS plastics treated by electrolytic platy stripping still maintains good physical properties and aging resistance, and it is not easy to change the color during recycling.
