Study on the Performances of Epoxy-Resin-Modified Polyurethane Acrylate for Water Conservancy Projects
Metal structures and hydraulic buildings of water conservancy projects are often suffered from corrosion and abrasion damage, and convenient and effective protection should be carried out.Polyurethane acrylate(PUA)was modified by using epoxy resin and the adhesion performance between PUA and matrix was improved. The PUA coating was formed by using ultraviolet(UV)curing technology. The chemical structure of epoxy-resin-modified PUA and the effects of the addition of epoxy resin on the mechanical properties, thermal stability, solvent resistance and impact wear resistance were investigated. The results show that the tensile strength of epoxy-resin-modified PUA decreases with the increase of epoxy resin dosage. When the mass fraction of epoxy resin is 5%,the tensile strength of PUA reaches 103.0 MPa.The material exhibits strong and brittle characteristics. The tensile shear strength of PUA increases from 0.25 MPa to 1.60 MPa with the addition of epoxy resin. At the same time,epoxy-resin-modified PUA has good water resistance, solvent resistance and impact wear resistance. The impact wear strength of PUA containing epoxy resin with a mass fraction of 5%is800 h/(kg·m2).
