Exploring the Mechanisms of the Differences in Physicochemical Properties between PVC and PE Fresh-Keeping Film
Polyvinyl chloride(PVC)and polyethylene(PE)fresh-keeping film was prepared.The mechanical properties,self-adhesive,crystal structures,anti-fogging properties,and barrier properties of PVC and PE fresh-keeping films were compared through testing.And the packaging effects of the two fresh-keeping films on lettuce and nuts were observed.The results indicate that the self-adhesive,tensile strength and toughness of PVC fresh-keeping film are better than PE fresh-keeping film.At low temperature(2℃)and normal temperature(25℃),the general elastic stage of PVC fresh-keeping film is 1.9 times and 2.9 times of PE fresh-keeping film,respectively.At room temperature,the creep residual deformation of PVC fresh-keeping film is lower than that of PE fresh-keeping film.The packaging effect of PVC fresh-keeping film is better than that of PE fresh-keeping film.The crystallinity of PE fresh-keeping film is higher than that of PVC fresh-keeping film.The oxygen transmittance of PE fresh-keeping film is nearly 3 times that of PVC fresh-keeping film,and the water vapor transmission rate of PVC fresh-keeping film is 21 times that of PE fresh-keeping film.In terms of the fresh-keeping effect after packaging,PVC fresh-keeping film exhibits superior performance compared to PE fresh-keeping film.Currently,PVC fresh-keeping film remains favored by the public and can coexist with PE fresh-keeping film.
