Optimization of Graft Polymerization Reaction Process of Phosphorus-Free and Sugar-Free ABS
When a reductant composed of sodium formaldehyde sulfite(SFS),tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA-4Na),and ferrous sulfate(FES)was applied in the graft polymerization of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer(ABS),the different addition methods of oxidants, reductants, and grafting monomers have a significant impact on the reaction rate and grafting process.By adding reductants in a"pre-supplementary or whole continuous"manner, and adding oxidants and grafting monomers in a continuous drip manner, the precise regulation of the decomposition rate of the initiator to produce free radicals during the reaction can be achieved, improving the grafting effect and enhancing the toughening efficiency of the powder.
